CLUE: The Hammonton High School edition
Each of my three CP Graphic Design 2 classes did a collaborative board game project. We kicked it off by watching the hilarious movie CLUE. Then, we spent a class period playing the game. It made me feel so old that so many students never played it before; CLUE was a major part of my 80's childhood!
The "crime" in our version of CLUE was not a murder; it was the kidnapping of our mascot, the blue devil. The rooms were classrooms/offices in the school, the suspects were teachers, and the "weapons" were items found around the school. Students opted to work in groups, or individually, depending on the task they elected. Some students were in charge of photography, others worked in Photoshop, some worked in Illustrator, while others worked in InDesign. Every aspect of the game—box, board, cards, detective pad, even game pieces—were designed by the students.
